Best quantity breaks apps for Shopify (2026): volume discounts compared
Quantity breaks ("buy 2 save 10%, buy 3 save 20%") are the most common bundle offer on Shopify, and most apps do them well. The differences are how you price a tier, where the tiers show, and what the app costs when the offer works.
We make ZS Bundles, so weigh that. The facts about other apps are from their Shopify App Store listings, checked on 22 October 2026. Apps change their plans, so check the listing before you install.

What each one is known for
- Kaching Bundles has the most reviews in this group by a wide margin (6,439). Its listing says a discount can be a percentage, a dollar amount or a specific price, it has built-in A/B testing, and its dashboard shows the additional revenue the app generated.
- Pumper Bundles can include a free gift or BOGO deal inside a quantity break, with discounts by unit, percentage or flat amount.
- Bundler puts quantity breaks on its free plan with no revenue limit, which is the strongest free offer for this one job.
- Dealeasy charges by your store's total orders, not only bundle orders, and lists progressive free gifts by cart value or quantity.
- Qikify and G: Volume Discounts launched in 2025 and list only a free price.
Five things to check in any quantity breaks app
- How a tier is priced. Percentage off follows your prices. A fixed amount ("save $8") reads well. An exact price ("3 for $70") makes round numbers. See the worked example in how to choose a volume discount app.
- Where the tiers show. On the product page above Add to cart, where the shopper picks a quantity. Check it on your own theme, on a phone.
- Code or automatic. An automatic price at checkout can't be shared on a coupon site. A code can.
- Does the price follow the cart? If the shopper picks 3 and removes one, the price should drop to the 2-item tier.
- What a good month costs. Revenue-based plans move up a tier when the offer sells. Order-based and feature-based plans move less.
How ZS Bundles does quantity breaks
Pick Quantity breaks when you create a bundle and the tiers come filled in (Single, Duo 15%, Trio 20%). Each tier can be a percentage, a fixed amount off or an exact price. Apply it to selected products, a collection or every product. The tiers show on your product page in a widget that matches your theme, and Shopify applies the price at checkout through Shopify Functions, re-checked whenever the cart changes. No discount codes. Step-by-step: how to add quantity breaks to Shopify.
Two things set it apart in this list:
- Billing by bundle orders. Starter covers 500 bundle orders a month for $12.99, whatever those orders are worth. A $60 order and a $200 order count the same.
- Everything else is included. The same app runs buy X get Y, mix & match boxes, fixed sets, free gifts and a bulk order table for trade buyers, so you don't need a second app when you want more than tiers.
Where others win: Kaching and Pumper have thousands of reviews and years on the App Store, which we don't have yet, and Bundler's free plan has no order cap for quantity breaks.
Which to choose
| If you… | Look at |
|---|---|
| want quantity breaks only, free, with no cap | Bundler (free plan), or an app that lists only a free price |
| want the longest review history | Kaching Bundles or Pumper Bundles |
| have a high average order value | An order-based plan such as ZS Bundles, so a few big orders don't move your tier |
| want tiers plus boxes, gifts and sets in one app at a fixed monthly price | ZS Bundles |
Questions
Can I do quantity breaks without an app?
Partly. A Shopify automatic discount with a minimum quantity handles the price, one discount per tier. It doesn't show the tiers on the product page.
Can a tier cover different variants?
In ZS Bundles, yes: two sizes or colours can count towards the same tier. Test this with your own products in any app.
Is quantity breaks on the ZS Bundles free plan?
Yes, with one bundle live at a time and up to 20 bundle orders a month.
Do I need a separate app for wholesale tiers?
Not with ZS Bundles. The bulk order table shows every size and colour on one screen and can be limited to customers with a tag such as wholesale.
